Customer & Channel Development Manager – Modern Trade

Accountabilities:

  • Manage the modern trade channel sales performance and gross profit by developing long term and short term sales goals, as well as channel strategies to achieve the business objectives under budget management.
  • Drive market share in accordance to the targets; define & maintain the strategic direction of the business plan to drive positive business contribution. by developing and executing business plans, ensuring effective coverage of assigned accounts
  • Analyze sales statistics gathered to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers. Manage and oversee the development of all required offer formats through Operations.
  • Monitor category and product performance versus targets at the customer, evaluate the impact of strategic and tactical initiatives, and take corrective action, as needed, to insure achievement of business goals.
  • Cooperate with product and trade marketing team to develop effectiveness sales activities and build brand awareness.
  • Oversee the performance of the accounts in terms of category and shelf analysis. Monitor category and product performance versus targets, evaluates the impact of strategic and tactical initiatives, and takes corrective action, as needed, to insure achievement of business goals.
  • Sourcing effective tools to analyze competitors’ strategies for key products and providing useful intelligence to sales staff. 
  • Lead and manage sales team under supervision of the Support Manager, Key Account Executives, Sales Supervisor, PC, Merchandisers on the day-to-day operations. 
  • Co-ordinate internally with all other concerned/related functions to make all have the same picture
  • Prepare related weekly & monthly performance report (sales progress vs target, spending, promotion plan and evaluation) and also promotion sales brief to guide sales team for next month direction.
  • Coordinate with the sales, inside sales and marketing teams on demand for forecast to improve accuracy at every level
  • Manage, motivate and coach team members in order to achieve company monthly and yearly targets and strengthen team capability
  • All agreements and contracts with the accounts to maintained in up-to-date condition with full understanding of every term and conditions
  • Manage assigned budget and tweak the same when needed or advised by the line manager / seniors

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience, previous 4 years in sales management in Modern Trade
  • Willing to take on challenging tasks and able to work under pressure.
  • Possess "can do" attitude, Committed, Self-driven, Initiative and prioritize task, Problem Solving.
  • Good command of both spoken & written English. 
  • Computer-literate & have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel / Words / PowerPoint.
